IMO, it depends on:
1. How they determined that your domain/IP was considered a spam source.
-Are they using un-maintained blacklists or are they being extremely aggressive?


2. How you were notified that there is a problem.
-Did you receive a bounce e-mail? If so, this is a really bad way of notifying the user of this situation. Why? Because most spam is forged!


3. How long it took to resolve the problem.
-If the turnaround time is longer than a day or two and requires a non-trivial amount of work from both parties to resolve the issue then I think there's a problem with their processes.
