Well this is true. The legal system is a ssytem based on the art of
retoric and not science.

The inductive process used by the common law courts often flies in the
face of impartial deductive resoning and scientific method.

The aim of the court process is more often to confuse matters rather
than to prove fact.

Really, I was addressing what a lot of attorneys do to confuse and
confound juries and judges and preserve an issue on appeal, i.e.,
challenging the credibility of the evidence through the individual
collecting and manner it was collected. The more the technology
involved the harder an attorney will work to discredit it. Technical
evidence is hard to present and harder for juries to absorb. And if
the attorney's done is job and laid enough ground work, (primarily
claims of manufacture or non-preservation [are there any other?] by
the IT guy) juries will simply ignore the evidence.
