Hello All,
I am looking for a "Good" SPAM filter for Outlook. It is intended for use in a California based non-profit ORG. However the key requirement is that should be maintenance free. There is no IT dept at this ORG.
There are 6 users who will need the filtering software, and we will purchase if it is reasonably priced. (unless if someone wants to donate we will give them a tax-deductible donation receipt :-)
Two options come to mind. First is Cloudmark Desktop, which is a commercial product. It sells for around $40 per seat although I think the company does offer volume discounts. The other option is the SpamBayes Outlook plugin. Before I sold my ISP I used to give that to customers who could not or would not switch to Thunderbird and wanted additional spam filtering. There is a bit of maintenance involved with SpamBayes as I recall but I received few complaints. I am not as certain about Cloudmark as I have not used it as much.
