Then wouldn't that result in the "breaking" of a PGP (or similar)

signature? If so then couldn't one argue that www.readnotify.com altered
the MSG? Which technically they would have, by changing the format of the
MSG before sending it on it's way.

I'm not sure how O2k, or OE parses HTML, does anyone here know? Or
where
to find the settings in either O2k, or OE to change how they handle HTML
documents? Or to display all incoming E-Mails as plain text?
