The one point to make in this all is the behaviour of a GPO that sets password policy. If you apply a password policy to an OU, it will impact local accounts on the computers in the OU but will not impact any domain accounts if you already have a password policy on the domain level. I believe there has been much discussion on this topic (or maybe it was a different list I'm on) and I'm sure you can dig it up the whole thread/argument if you want more info or detail on this. --rex -----Original Message----- From: Magdy Aziz [mailto:magdy_aziz22@hotmail.com] Sent: Saturday, December 24, 2005 11:02 AM To: gshiva@htcindia.com Cc: security-basics@securityfocus.com Subject: RE: Applying Group Policies to selective OUs... Hello, You can link group policies to a Site, Domain or OU. Check the Microsoft link below which is a step-by-step guide to understanding the Group Policy Feature Set. http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/windows2000serv/howto/grpol wt.mspx Regards, Magdy From: "G.Sivasubramanian" <gshiva@htcindia.com> Reply-To: "G.Sivasubramanian" <gshiva@htcindia.com> To: <security-basics@securityfocus.com> Subject: Applying Group Policies to selective OUs...
