Is it possible to selectively disable USB devices? For instance, only mice and printers should work when connected to a USB port but flash drives, other mp3 players etc should not work when connected to the same USB ports. In operating system terms, we are looking at Windows XP professional sp2 and Windows 2000 sp4.
All the usb devices have a specific id that is attached to that device In the registry When the device is inserted the correct drivers are loaded. All you have to do connect all the allowable devices once and then make the part of the Rag that stores the device-id unwritable ie disable the write Permissions. ________________________________________________________________________ Delivered using the Free Personal Edition of Mailtraq (www.mailtraq.com)
