It WOULD be easy to brute force, however, all mobile phones i know of
only allow a incorrect pin code to be entered three times before
asking for a much longer PUK code, which is ~16 numbers. If this is
entered incorectly 3 times, the phone is shut down.

Hi Felix,

do you know of any Java applications that would do what you suggest
in the below message?

Also, you say
"1. It is protected by a PIN number"
PL] I would suppose that this pin is easy to brute force since from
what I know it consists of only numbers?

You could use your mobile phone.

1. It is protected by a PIN number
2. It could run a java encryption app to provide additional security.
3. It is always with you.
4. It can be accessed from your PC via Bluetooth or USB.
