AVG's recognition rates aren't that great, but the price can't be beat. I ran 
it and it failed to recognize a file Kaspresky and Trend's online scanners 
complained about.

Kaspresky gets high marks.  I haven't tried NOD, but I've heard good things.

I am using NOD32 from ESET . It's fastest virus
scanner I have ever used and It's require very little
memory resources compared to other AV products..

I think you'll find that most of those companies
forbid comparisons in
their EULAs and end user agreements...
