There is at least one product on the market that MIGHT be able to do this,
since syncing a PC and copy files to a USB (or whatever) device are not the
same thing. However, even if that's viewed, by whatever product you may
find, as illegal, if the PDA software maintains a folder that is also
synched, it might be allowed.

You're better to avoid allowing the user to connect to the workstation at
all via anything. You can do this a number of ways but the easiest would
have to be something along the lines of a blackberry and blackberry
enterprise server.

Hi List,

Is there a way to restrict access of a PDA during a 
synchronisation such that it can only synchronise with Mail 
(Calenders, etc) but CANNOT copy other files from the PC?

PC = Windows environment
PDA = no specific brand, users bring different PDAs
