SecurityFocus beta site redesign - feedback requested

Subject: SecurityFocus beta site redesign - feedback requested
Date: Fri, 20 May 2005 15:44:07 -0400
Dear Security-Basics,

We at SecurityFocus have always looked for input from the user community on how we can best serve your need for security information.

We are pleased to announce the beta launch of the new SecurityFocus website. On June 1st we will be launching the new site to the public and all of the nearly 10 million readers who visit every year. Until then, you can help us test it. The site now employs current CSS and XHTML technologies, decreasing file sizes and load times while increasing usability. We have still managed to retain all existing technical articles, news and commentary, as well as our huge and growing vulnerability database, Bugtraq, and the rest of our 31 mailing lists.

For this new site design to be useful to the security community, we are asking for your feedback on what you like, don't like, or would like to see changed. Your input can help shape the direction of the site for everyone.

The beta is available immediately. The first 1000 people to self-register on the beta site, http://beta.securityfocus.com, will be given access. As subscribers to Security-Basics, you're the first to see the new design. See if it's intuitive, search for information, and try to break the site. Then send an email to beta@securityfocus.com with your thoughts.

Best regards,

Kelly Martin
