One thing would be to make a small web page in PHP or any other script, and put it on the internal web server. IE ip.yourdomain.local. When you talk to your users, ask them to go to the web site and give you the ip. Of course, that's if you have access to the internal subnet of that remote site through VPN. If not, remote assistance, maybe?
