I would also agree with the IEEE mags, Security & Privacy most importantly. If you wanna see a glimpse of the "underground" sec world, pick up 2600 at Barnes and Noble. It's not as "hardcore" as it once was, but it's the rag used by most of those script kiddies out there. Security Administrator from MS isn't bad either, but be prepared for some *nix bashing. If you're administering MS boxes though, it can serve you quite well. Other than that, eZines are gonna be the best place to find info. Packetstorm has a huge list of zines [http://www.packetstormsecurity.org/magazines/] Hope this helps. SCMagazine and Information Security Magazine mainly espouse CISSP type stuff imho, and are a good read if that is what you are looking for. No this is not an anti-CISSP rant either :-) -------------------------------------------------------------- Don Parker, GCIA GCIH Intrusion Detection & Incident Handling Specialist Bridon Security & Training Services http://www.bridonsecurity.com voice: 1-613-302-2910 -------------------------------------------------------------- On Thu, 28 Oct 2004 11:40 , John Madden <chiwawa999@yahoo.com> sent:
