That's like asking how to prevent viruses without virus protection. In general, you don't. I suppose you could do something like voice activated software, or there's some new equipment for scanning fingerprints which might be possible to use. But when you think about it, if somebody already has a keylogger on your machine, that means they generally have full control anyway, so who's to say that they don't have other backdoors, and that they haven't grabbed your password files, or anything like that? Anyway, what's the problem with using anti-keylogger software? It does what it was designed to do, which is prevent keyloggers. It seems silly to not use it.
