192.168.1.0/24 is CIDR notation for the network with network address
192.168.1.0 and netmask 255.255.255.0.  In other words, the network with
usable IP addresses in the range 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.254.

This is quite well within the non-routable IP address block assignment,
and is perfectly normal for private network allocation.
