I don't know what it is you're coding, but I find libssh to be a significantly easier interface t deal with.

What I'm trying to do is figure out the right steps to using the
openssh headers with in my C programs. This also goes about having to
use it with gcc for the time being. Right now I'm using mac 10.5.2 and
