On the server, change the home directory of those users to the common
folder.  If you can't do it on this server, use a different server.
You can share the files via NFS or similar...

You could also use rssh to do this (with chroot jails).

Either way though, you need to make changes to the user's environment
in the /etc/passwd file (or whatever).  It may be possible to get
around this with some hackery, if you can set up a second mechanism
for authentication...
