64bit-compiled sshd fails on IBM/AIX

Subject: 64bit-compiled sshd fails on IBM/AIX
Date: Fri, 17 Jun 2005 11:50:10 +0200
openssh-4.1p1
Compiled on IBM/AIX (5200-05) for 64-bit using gcc 3.3.4

Compiles fine. ssh works.
sshd will accept authentication and then disconnect
without any further notification.

Thanks to Darren Tucker (I appreciate his patience) the problem was determined to be an AIX systems function
(setpcred) probably within libc.a (version 5.2.0.60).
Function setpcred works fine for 32-bit only.

Temporary solution: Removing HAVE_SETPCRED within
config.h prior compilation.

Kind regards
g lehnert
