I have an OpenSSH server running on Windows 2000, my router forwarding from port 8000 to the SSH server. When I am on my local LAN, I am able to connect to the SSH server (even on the external IP address, and external port), but when I try to
connect from a machine outside of my local LAN, it hangs. Here is sample output from it hanging:
