Host X: Linux **** 2.4.9-e.48smp #1 SMP OpenSSH_3.1p1, SSH protocols 1.5/2.0, OpenSSL Host Y: SunOS **** 5.8 Generic_108528-26 sun4u sparc SUNW,Ultra-5_10 ssh: F-Secure SSH 3.2.3 (build 14) on sparc-sun-solaris2.8 Host Z: Linux dcaprio 2.4.21-15.0.3.ELsmp #1 SMP Tue Jun 29 18:04:47 OpenSSH_3.1p1, SSH protocols 1.5/2.0, OpenSSL I have a user account setup with a restricted shell (/bin/rbash) on host X I can scp or ssh from the OpenSSH host (Z) to OpenSSH client (host X) just fine. On F-secure host Y I generated a key, copied it to host X (openSSH) server, converted the key for use by OpenSSH using ssh-keygen -i ... ssh and scp from the F-secure server (Y) to the OpenSSH server (X) works fine. When I changed the users shell on host X to use a restricted shell (/bin/rbash) ssh still works however scp does not! The scp command displays no errors or warnings. Anybody have a clue why scp will not work with F-Secure when the OpenSSH client is using a restricted shell? I haven't been able to try with F-secure at both ends.
