Re: how to use x11 forwarding?

You said you already set X11 Forwarding.  You shouldn't have to do much more.

You should not have to set your display variable, ssh port forwarding should do
all that for you.  All you should have to do is set up your server and open
whichever port its set (22 default) to on your firewall, if you have one. 
ssh to the remote server.  
start your X on your local machine.  
start the app on the remote server.
If it works you should see the app.
