Do a little research on antennas in general. If you're wardriving, you want an
omni-directional antenna with a fair amount of gain. If this antenna you're
looking at goes "up to 10 miles", it's gonna be very directional. You want
something with more of a circular pattern. An 8 db gain onmi will reach out
pretty far but if you're in a city, you might miss things in high buildings
close to you. If you're someplace where it's flat with few tall buildings,
perhaps a 12 db gain would work. Look at and understand the pattern of the
antenna you're getting. In a pen-test, you know your target (as opposed to
random wardriving) so you might want to use a high gain directional antenna
like this yagi you're talking about to connect to the target network from a
long way away.

hi guys hope your weekend is good so far. Does anyone have any
experience with teh Yagi Antenna booster ? They claim it can boost up
to 10 miles. Just wonder if anyone has used it while wardriving. Maybe
there's a better antenna you'd recommend ?
