Yes, experience or the course. They, for obvious reasons, prefer the latter. There is a form you need to fill out and fax to them. I had to follow up the fax with an e-mail but eventually got the code I needed to take the test. Ric

If you don't take the course, you must have a signed letter from your supervisor on company letterhead stating that you have completed this work, describe your daily tasks, etc. I tried to take this exam, but after faxing in my paperwork, never heard back from the company and have had no luck contacting them; At least I didn't pay for it! Some other forums I've read have stated their reputation is sketchy at best. I just completed the new Offensive Security course on Backtrack, and am taking the exam Saturday. It is an excellent course that teaches you not just about backtrack but lots of great penetration testing and security auditing concepts. The final exam is you connected to a lab via VPN and required to complete various tasks against the other machines. I definitely like this hands on approach! -----Original Message----- From: listbounce@securityfocus.com [mailto:listbounce@securityfocus.com] On Behalf Of Pete Herzog Sent: Thursday, July 12, 2007 10:09 AM To: ppsih@hol.gr Cc: Serge Vondandamo; pen-test@securityfocus.com Subject: Re: Mile2 Training (Certifications) No, I am sure in Europe you MUST take the CEH course to sit for the CEH exam (I have heard this from CEH instructors and have just searched and found it at Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Certified_Ethical_Hacker. This is NOT true of the OPST or OPSA. In France you can sit for just the exam by contacting Dreamlab Technologies: www.dreamlab.net. Is that true? I am trying to pass that cert but I don't where to pass it here in Paris - can anyone help? Your decision depends on how much money do you have to spend (or if you have financing), geographic location, instructors background and the"handson" amount.
