Isn't this still illegal:) -----Original Message----- From: listbounce@securityfocus.com [mailto:listbounce@securityfocus.com] On Behalf Of Predrag Petrovic Sent: Friday, May 18, 2007 3:31 AM To: jasper.o.waale@kh.pwc.com Cc: listbounce@securityfocus.com; pen-test@securityfocus.com Subject: Re: Sneaking a peek on Wlan in airports The funniest thing that ever happened to me was when my ISP had its own wireless network which wasn't encrypted. So I could get the username/password/mac address, we were doing session hijack with this so we could get a lot of free internet. The provider knew about this but they couldn't stop us. The best thing in this case is to know and not to tell because you will save yourself a lot of unnecessary talking with the victim of sniffing. I'm sure you as I have many time been in airport with public wlan access and by error had some kind of sniffer running ? well I has Cain open because of a general scan I was making related to
a test, and I picked up a Pop3 account and password, I did try to find
the guy to tell him but did not see anybody with a laptop, so what now
do I email him as asking him to update the password or do I just ignore it and let he carry on doing this to him self and his firm.
