Hi
Can you please explain what do you mean by a 'good DDoS' tool? What does it
exactly do ? I am just trying to learn what should a good tool be able to do
in a scenario such as DDoS. I hope its not just rate limiting of traffic.

Are you looking to DDoS someone or protect against/detect a DDoS?
Trin00, Stacheldraht, TFN are the DDoS tools that first sprang up years ago.
I'm sure there are better ones out there today.
Mazu Networks and Arbor Networks make, from my recollection, good DDoS
mitigation/detection tools.
