I'm using KisMac 0.21a In the config panel the button "Use as primary injection driver" is disabled and not clickable both with passive and active for airport extreme card. Does exist a way to activate packet injection with airport extreme??!? Thanks DaKahuna wrote:
What version of KisMac were you using? On Aug 14, 2006, at 7:36 AM, rello wrote:Yes I tried KisMac but using airport extreme both with active and passive drivers packet injection is not possible. Thankyou Ezequiel Sallis wrote:Silvio, Hi first you can dowload Kismac 0.21a and use it to make tests, whith the airport extreme (Ibook G4) and the last version of this software you can inject packets o buy de Dlink USB dwl 122 B bye rello wrote:Ciao In my laptop (Apple iBook G4) isn't present the cardbus slot, so it's impossible for me to use many of the best wireless cards. I'm looking for a usb wireless card full linux compatible that supports packet injection, but for now I have not found usb cards with Prism or Atheros chip inside. If I'm not wrong the Netgear DWL-G122 with Ralink chip seems to partially support packet injection, but I'm not sure about that... I'm pretty sure that Orinoco usb client based on Hermes chip hasn't the packet injection feature. For now I own a ZyDas zd1211 chip based dongle partially working on linux with latest kernel, but it does not support packet injection, and integrated Airport Express too doesn't support injection.. Please can you tell me if there is a good usb device supporting injection?? Thanks, Silvio Travis wrote:fabio, you are out of luck with aireplay. i also have the ipw2200 centrino card and it does not support packet injection (ARP injection). all you will be able to do is capture packets. if you want to speed up the process by injecting packets you will have to use another wireless card, say the Orinoco gold series which supports packet injection. sorry for the bad news but i was pissed off when i found out that my ibm T42 didnt support packet injection as well. best of luck.
