I totally agree with you. But it would be better if the License comes
from a more recognized body. We are still fighting over CEH to be
recognized as an Industry certification. In such a scenario, LPT from
Ec-Council will add less value to ur profile.
For Example take this scenario,
I myself personally know two companies in India, who just buy kits
from ec-council and write exams for students. These students /
Professionals dont even sit for the program. Even though Ec-Council
knows about it, no such action have been taken to stop this illegal
proceedings from Ec-Council.
In such conditions' if such candidates get LPT from Ec-Council, how
will an organisation be confident in hiring the services of an LPT who
knows nothing, but just holds a License.
This may sound ugly, but its the truth. And being a Security
Professional's but just sit back and watch all these dirty
proceedings.

diligence. If you audit a company or an internal network if something were
to happen it protects you more as far liability. Especially if you turn
around and start a security consulting firm or work for one, but other than
that it doesn't due a whole lot for you.
