Greetings pwdump fans, Version 1.2 (Beta) of the pwdump6 software has been released to http://www.foofus.net/fizzgig/pwdump as of this morning. There are three major changes from the previous version: - Uses "random" named pipes (GUIDs) to allow concurrent copies of the client to run. This is predominately for the next version of fgdump, which will be multithreaded. - Will turn off password histories if the requisite APIs are not available (there are instances in which this is the case) - pwdump will no longer simply refuse to grab the hashes that it can. - Data is now encrypted over the named pipe using the Blowfish algorithm. More information on this is available on the website. For those who have written me and provided valuable feedback, I thank you, and I hope this tool continues to be useful to you. I've seen way more downloads of this (and fgdump) than I ever would have thought in such a short period of time. :) Also, I'd like to make a quick plug for the other fine, fine foofus.net tools: - OWNR: a unified, extensible Windows discovery tool (http://www.foofus.net/defcon/foofus-DC12-v2.tar.bz2) - Medusa: a true multithreaded replacement for "hydra" that can brute force a number of different protocols (http://www.foofus.net/jmk/medusa/medusa.html) - fgdump: a more powerful version of pwdump that handles antivirus and can dump other credential stores (http://www.foofus.net/fizzgig/fgdump) Enjoy! --fizzgig ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This List Sponsored by: Cenzic Concerned about Web Application Security?
