DNS is a critical service and is very important the response time. A proxy that
rewrites request to another
request can worse the service response time.......
Anyway you can view a very great tool that can be usefulness for this and
another works....as create a tunnel
between proxy and external provider by https and you do request to proxy in
HTTP internally....for example...

ftp://www.delegate.org/pub/DeleGate/Manual.htm#DNSCONF
If you want to do a test over proxy it seems good, but if you need a proxy to
offers a service, I think that is better configure a dns cache.

I wonder if there is a proxy which is configurable that it rewrites every
request to special DNS request and is sending and receiving on port 53 UPD/TCP.
Additionally there should be a server listening on port 53 UDP answering all
requests the client is sending.
Background to this question is, I'm currently testing a wireless network which
allows traffic on port 53 to every server. So why not tunnelling s this way! I
don't want a tool where I need my own DNS server with authority of a domain and
so!
