As long as you send the same data the client you emulate does there is
no difference between using netcat vs. real client. One thing though,
if someone analyze the traffic they will see that something is amiss
as with telnet/netcat you send character by character, while normal
clients send it line-by-line.

I am actually not quite sure what you are really asking for, I get a
feeling that there is a bigger question behind this one..
