Hello everybody,
I was doing a vulnerability assessment on a production using Nessus(Only
non-dangerous plugins were enabled) and some of the Novell file servers went
down. I was forced to stop the test.

Have anyone experienced the Novell problem with Nessus? What can do to stop
crashing these servers?

In my experience, older version of Novell Netware had problems with one
of the FTP plugins in Nessus. It has been a while but I believe that the
test triggered a buffer overflow, even though it was a "safe" plugin,
that then nuked the whole system. Double check my statements though as
it has been a long time since I've run into that problem because the
version of Netware was very old...3.x or 4.x I think.
