Hi all--

Just want to put it out as clearly as possible--if you are going to do
anything involving the words "wireless" and "security," you are probably
going to want to use Kismet (www.kismetwireless.net) at some point. And
the important part, which Gary mentioned below, is that Kismet does not
support a lot of the common chipsets, so check out the list of supported
ones before you buy your wireless card...

There is no complete solution for Broadcom or Atheros chips on Linux.

The madwifi driver is even supported by Kismet.
