Results 1 - 10 of about 66,900 for tcp 999. (0.56 seconds) http://www.seifried.org/security/ports/0/999.html Well if you're going to go by the services file, it would be an Applix related program. Have you tried a netstat -an on the machine that the port shows it opened on? Telnetted to it? Anything other than run a scanner on it? I could set up anything to port 999 means nothing. Try telnetting to the port, running a netstat etc.
Hi all, I ran nmap across one of my Windows XP SP1 workstations and it report tcp port 999 open with the description of garcon. Does anyone have an idea as to what this is? I've searched google and am unable to find a description. Thanks, Jeff
