You may have already checked this but do you have your DNS settings
correct? You may want to ping a real world "live" IP address to see if
it responds. If it does I could only assume that you have a DNS
resolution problem. 

Another area I would check is your host file. If that is fine then you
need to look at any encryption methods you may be using. Example, look
for open of shared mode. That's where I would start off.

Subject: interesting wireless card and linux issue

ok heres the problem I have a linksys wireless router and a motorola
wireless card on my laptop im running dual boot xp suse 9.1. 
when im wireless on windows everything works fine, howeverwhen im on
suse the card detects the network and i can ping to the router its
pulling an ip adress and everything on the router is set up as default
with no WEP. why is it that i cannot access the internet aand how can i
fix this 
thankx in advance 

ive already checked the routing tables and done the renew on the network
connection in use i just cannot get to the internet
