Any ideas? Obviously something has got cached somewhere - but I can't
figure out how the changed script_id didn't get noticed.

Make sure you reconnect from your client; otherwise, the client won't  
become aware of changes in script dependencies, plugin ids, and other  
items in the plugin's description code block.

If that fails to resolve the issue, remove the plugins database (eg, / 
opt/nessus/var/nessus/plugins-*) and then restart nessusd.
