IIRC, you have to restart the client and the server to get the changes to show up. there is a command line way to _scan_ with just one plugin which is relatively new. should be in the help section. I'm not sure what you mean by "add" exactly. You might try running nasl on your plugin by itself. IIRC, that's a good way to double check to see that it's correct and will load. hello guys, got a couple of questions here about nessus, my OS is Ubuntu
7.10.
i am using Nessus 3.2
1. is nessus capable of calling/executing perl scripts and make nessus do
all the reports?
2. is this the right way to add my own nasl script? coz it wont show up in
the client sometimes.
- /etc/init.d/nessusd stop
- nessus-update-plugins -v
- /etc/init.d/nessusd start
-reconnect client
3. is there a one liner command to add just 1 nasl plugin?
4. when i revise my nasl script, is this command enough for the changes to
take effect?
- /etc/init.d/nessusd restart
- reconnect client
I'm confused with the NessusClient coz it wont update regularly(the
plugins). For example, i already managed to add my nasl plugin
and yes it did show up in the Plugins tab. I included my plugin during the
scan and it worked fine.
But when i tried to revise my script (i changed the output message of the
plugin). No difference, it still prints the old message in the report...
