Well... i have more info about my situation. A) I can do the scan only with FIN, Xmas or Null scan of Nmap in order to identify the ports open B) i can scan maximum 14 ports each time, otherwise everything is seems closed. among the 14, i can specify whatever port that i want and it will be always open C) no option selected in the panel "general option" because otherwise i do not obtain ports open which kind of host is? is it a firewall? what can give me all the ports open but permit me to scan only 14 at each time? Thanks for your help! regards, Francesco S. On Tue, Apr 8, 2008 at 10:13 PM, francesco sottini <francesco.sot@gmail.com> wrote:

Xmas Tree portscan is useless for a vulnerability audit. Use SYN "half open" scan or full TCP scan.-- Francesco S.
