outside ip scan

Hello,
 
I'd like to scan Company's outside IP addresses from outside. When I run 
default scan on these, Nessus show me nothing. What can cause that? How should 
I configure Nessus if the problem is because I have pinging etc. disabled on 
routers. Thanks for help.
