Have you ever seen an issue with WNPC, where it stops and does not complete?
I have no issues with windows xp. But, I have issues with windows 2000 and
windows 2003. I get the following error when running it in Security Center
3.

I did the following:

1) I have "Policy Compliance" selected as the family.

2) Under options I've selected my .audit file that I've created.
I even tried it with the tenable created .audit files and still get errors.

3) Then I create a New Scan with the above policy that was
created.

I get the following error after the scan:

"Vulnerability Details

The vuln was first discovered on 2008-03-27

It was most recently observed on 2008-03-27

Vulnerability Report Description:

"Compliance Check Test Error" : Nessus returned the following error message
:

Some errors occurred when attempting to perform the compliance checks :

Error : the file Adminsys-Win2K-Gold-Server-Test-Audit.audit has no
"check_type" set - ignoring"

I also noticed that the .audit file created by the Windows Nessus Policy
Creator does not complete, but allows to be saved. Even if I just copy and
paste a part of the script, I get the above error:

The following is the .audit script:

<check_type : "Windows" version : "2">

<group_policy: "Password Policy">

                name: "Enforce password history"

                value: 3

                name: "Maximum password age"

                value: 42

                name: "Minimum password age"

                value: 0

                name: "Minimum password length"

                value: 8

        #

        # name: "Password must meet complexity requirements"

        #        value: +++ Undefined +++

        #

</group_policy>

</check_type>

Any ideas?  Thanks!

Dee
