Just as caution I have taken down a few of our mainframe apps using

My suggestion would be t watch the process and network traffic on the
mainframe while your doing your scan to make sure you don't take it down
and that it is stable during the scan.

So there are apps located at DISA's Mechanicsburg site (or other connected
networks) vulnerable to default Nessus scans?

Just a tip to all on the list: Don't use your agency/company/org's email
and contact data on security-centric mailing lists. Google will haunt you.
Your boss will hate you. The kiddies will love you.
