RE: Compliance check not showing anything

Hi Mehul,

Both ports are disabled on the server - no sharing at all! No Netbios as
well.
I guess this is what is stopping me from getting the results right?
May be Nessus should give a warning for not beeing able to use these
ports.

I have registered Nessus (with Direct Feed) on my windows machine. If I
run it in command line under windows would the error result be more
visible?

Hi Rossen,

Few things I had like you to check.

- Check if port 139/445 is open on the target system i.e (Allow file and
printer sharing exception is enabled.)
- Check if the credentials are correct.
- Lastly, try running compliance checks from the command line

for e.g

/opt/nessus/bin/nasl -Xt TARGET_IP compliance_check.nbin.

You should see a error message related to your issue.

If remote registry is disabled, checks that require registry access will
fail.

Also, if you are Direct feed/SC3 customer please consider opening a
ticket
with our
help desk regarding this issue.

Hi guys,

I am having hard time scanning hardened windows 2003 servers
for compliance.

The result only shows :
=====================
Start Time, Finish Time, and IP address

No Vulnerability Found
=====================

I have included the local checks failed plugin(#21745), but
nothing is shown. I have double checked that the audit file
is there and is ok. On the servers the remote registry is
disabled. Could this be the problem?

Thanks.
