Hi Dieter,

We would obviously interested in more details about your problem (which version of NessusClient are you running, on which platform, etc...)

To answer your question, the client performs a check point every 5mn, which is stored under ~/.nessus-client/report-XXXXX under Linux and under C:\Documents and Settings\<YourLogin>\Applications Data\Tenable \Nessus under Windows.

Hi,

I'm using nessus frequently together with the NessusClient and the latter is sometimes "hanging" (grayed out) and using lot's of CPU cycles. When I kill the client because it's not responding anymore I obviously loose any scan results that has been made during the scan.

I've also tried using the commandline client but this is the same problem as the results file is created after the scan has finished, the only difference here though is that the client doesn't become "not responding".

Is there a way to save the temporary results somehow to prevent data loss because of an unresponsive client?

Dieter
