Re: Web Front for Nessus

Hello, I've tried both, in the stable version I had to correct code to get it
to show the graphs... Currently I can 't get the stable version to run a
authorative scan using tenables .audit file. The reports are empty, like
improtect is having a problem passing off the admin and/or root account to
nessus.

I've also found little documentation about inprotect, can anyone point me in
the right direction to find some configuration docs?

I have about 15 tests that only have experence with Windows, so I was looking
for a easy to use interface that they could access from multiple locations with
out me installation the Nessus 3 client on multiple locations.

I have no money to buy anything with so I have to do this on the cheap.

Why not drop back to the previous stable release of Inprotect instead
of trying to use the Beta 0.82 release?

Correctly I'm using the Nessus 3 client on a XP workstation to allow my
tester
to perform some scanning before it comes to security.

I was hoping to use a web front in to make it easier for multiple testers
to
access the nessus server.

If anyone has any ideas it would be great to hear them

I checked out their website. It does not support comparing scans from same
host(s) over different time period, which is essential for me. :(

scavenger works, within a limited scope. it's at least handy for having a
database of vulnerabilities :)

Yeah, that is what I have. It is still a beta release. I've spent too
much

you
used scavenger? Does it work good? Thank you.

I know inprotect has a new release.

you might also try scavenger, from Argonne national Lab (anl). a little
different interface.

Yeah, I have inprotect intalled as well, but just not sure if it is
what
we want. I guess it's tough to find a good free web front. Thank you

everyone's input.

inprotect comes to mind and something ive tried in the past. Ended up
not using it, not that it wasn't functional just didn't fit what I
wanted.

Does any one know a good web front for nessus that let you schedule
scans and have flexible report format, such as report only "hole"s?
Thank
you.
