Plans to include Ubuntu or other OpenSSL 0.9.8 distributions?

Hi All,

Recently my employer bought an inexpensive but highly effective laptop (A
Dell Vostro 1500, 2gb main memory, 120gb drive, tg3 based gigabit ethernet,
US$450) to perform security scans and assemssments with. Unfortunely, the
laptop is simply too new -- none of your suported distributions will address
the NIC without changing core kernels or using usb based nics (which are
simply not stable enough for prpoduction use; I know -- I tried several
brands). Given that there exist social pressures to have a fully suported
linux platform in use, I'm using ubunto 7.10 on the laptop.

Unfortuantly, ubuntu 7.10 uses OpenSSL 0.9.8 which is not supported by
version 3 of your closed source client. So I'm using the much slower version
2.x of your client that ships with Ubuntu in it's stead. Are there any plans
to ship a version of the Version 3 client that's linked against OpenSSL
0.9.8 so it can be used with Ubuntu (and thus newer hardware)?
