How do you create a new nessusrc file for scripted runs?

[I don't know if this is a FAQ, I haven't been looking at Nessus-v3 in
detail since it came out, and have been relying on it's backwards
compatibility which enables me to use my old v2 nessusrc config files so
far]

I'm wanting to create some new Nessus-v3 configs to use via cronjobs,
and there doesn't appear to be any format in common between the
NessusClient "Policies.xml" file and the format wanted by nessusd-v3?

Is this true, and if so, how are people getting around this? Could I use
the old nessus-gtk v2 client to create 100% useful config files?

Thanks
