I've had cause to scan a network with some NT4 boxes still utilised. The Nessus report tells me that NT4 checks are now disabled. Can anyone tell me what the latest version of Nessus is whereby NT4 checks are enabled please, or whether these checks may be enabled in ver 3.0.6.
The NT4 checks are not really disabled. NT4 itself is not supported
by Microsoft -- many public flaws exist for this system and do not
have a patch available, and Nessus will not flag these (ie: you might
do a scan of a NT4 box and it might come up with no result, but that
does not mean the system is free of flaws).
