Problems with Nessus scanning a MacOS parallels Vista VM

Subject: Problems with Nessus scanning a MacOS parallels Vista VM
Date: Sat, 20 Oct 2007 14:16:06 -0700 (PDT)
Hi All,

I'm having problems when trying to scan a Vista virtual machine created by
Parallels: Nessus client returns as if the host was down, with no other message.

The environment is:

Guest OS: MacOS X Tiger (10.4.10)
Virtual Machine: Vista created with Parallels Desktop 3.0, with bridged network

Nessus 3.0 is running on the OSX guest OS.

I can ping and normally access Vista, but Nessus cannot scan it.

Did anybody have a problem like this? Found a solution?

Many thanks.
