Plug in 10297

Subject: Plug in 10297
Date: Thu, 18 Oct 2007 10:40:07 +0000
Hello everyone,

Plug-in ID Name Family
10297 Web server traversal Web
Servers

Plug-in 10297 correctly captured the banner for a application that I was
scanning, which showed up in the body of the report.

Which produces :
HTTP/1.0 200 OK
Date: Tue, 16 Oct 2007 12:14:31 GMT
Server: SentinelKeysServer/1.0
MIME-Version: 1.1
Content-Type: application/octet-stream
Keep-Alive:0
Content-Length: 573

But the plug-in reported it as a afs3-prserver (7002/tcp)

Could this be happening because the plug-in check both Windows and Unix for
directory traversal?

I thought the plug-in would append the server line from the banner and tag it
to the tcp port 7002 in the report.

Is the problem being caused by the plug-in checking Unix last, and doesn't
enumerate a banner, so it reports it as a AFS3-pserver?

Take Care and Have Fun --John
