Fwd: Nessus/Client Server Performance Issue

Subject: Fwd: Nessus/Client Server Performance Issue
Date: Fri, 24 Aug 2007 12:57:35 -0400
I had stated in a previous post, I was having cpu load issues with Linux
Nessus Client against a Windows Server running nessus.

Addtional info,

As a test, I wanted to break down the following line, to see what I could do
to debug.

/usr/local/nessus/bin/nessus -qx X.X.X.X 1241 USERNAME PASSWORD
/var/www/TNS2/tmp/test/target_s93083
/var/www/TNS2/tmp/test/nessus_s93083.out -V -T nbe -c
/var/www/TNS2/tmp/test/nessus_s93083.cfg

Removed argement for the Config

/usr/local/nessus/bin/nessus -qx X.X.X.X 1241 USERNAME PASSWORD
/var/www/TNS2/tmp/test/target_s93083 /var/www/TNS2/p/test/nessus_s93083.out
-V -T nbe

I found the windows servers do not like the config, would this be something
specific to my config, or configs in general?

When the config file is passed the cpu load on the client is at 30-100%
what can be done to supply a config to 3.0.6 windows nessus (or will latest
beta address this).
