Hello all,

Is there a best practice audit file for SUSE linux available as there is
for
Redhat? I can hack up the RH one but I didn't want to re-invent the wheel
so to speak if it has already been done.

Thanks in advance!

Hi John,

There is also a generic "UNIX" audit file available on the Tenable
Support Site.

We have not produced any specific configuration audits for SUSE.
However, I've run both the RedHat and UNIX compliance check audits
against SUSE systems and have gotten useful results.

If you are building highly customized audit policies and want to audit
your applications along with your operating system, please also consider
the example Apache audit file the the c2a tool which was blogged about
here: http://blog.tenablesecurity.com/2007/02/automated_audit.html
