disabling safe_check

Hi,
Problem:
    I am not able to enable plugins that can crash the remote hosts.

See the warning message:

[miraj@miraj ~]$ nessus -P localhost 1241 username password  | grep safe_check
*** The plugins that have the ability to crash remote services or hosts
have been disabled. You should activate them if you want your security
audit to be complete
safe_checks = 0
=========================================================

I have tried changing my $HOME/.nessusrc and the nessusd.conf (restarted server) file, but no luck

[miraj@miraj ~]$ grep safe_check $HOME/.nessusrc
 safe_checks = no
[miraj@miraj ~]$
[miraj@miraj ~]$  grep safe_check /opt/nessus/etc/nessus/nessusd.conf
safe_checks = no
[miraj@miraj ~]$

I am registered uses, but NOT a "direct feed" user (if this info helps).

Can some one tell me how do I enable the crash-plugins? Any links or documentation already on this?
